For your convenience, NASF offers Two Types of Educational Opportunities:
1) Certificate of Advanced Qualification … NASF’s highest standard. These comprehensive, widely recognized programs are intended for fitness professionals who specialize in older adult fitness programming. The courses require proctored, closed book testing. Our C.A.Q. programs provide all necessary study resources including textbooks, manuals and videos plus a complete set of CEC materials at no extra charge. Full certification requires successfully completing a proctored, closed book examination and providing proof of supplemental certification in both adult CPR and basic first aid.
NASF’s Certificates of Advanced Qualification are renewable every two years with proof of current CPR/first aid certification along with 2.0 NASF approved continuing education credits.
2) Certificate of Completion Programs … correspondence courses designed to enhance your existing knowledge and credentials as well as for continuing education credit. Certificate programs feature the same study materials and learning objectives as Advanced Qualification programs. However, they are designed as self-paced, open-book correspondence courses. The certificate program provides recognized CECs for other associations. For your convenience, each certificate program is divided into two courses (Part One and Part Two) which may be purchased separately or together. Completing both parts earns your certificate from the Association of Seniors Fitness. Certificates may be upgraded to Advanced Qualification a later date if desired.
All NASF educational programs require comprehensive, directed home study.
